Permanent makeup requires precision, good visibility and a treatment chair that supports every stage of the procedure. When mapping and pre-drawing, you need to position the client upright. During pigmentation, it is usually more comfortable to recline the client slightly, allowing you to sit close to the face.

The right PMU studio setup supports your working posture and keeps the client comfortable during treatments such as powder brows, microblading, permanent eyeliner, lash enhancement and lip blush.

From pre-drawing to pigmentation

A permanent makeup treatment usually begins with a consultation and selecting the shape and pigment colour. You then measure and pre-draw the eyebrows, eyeliner or lip contour.

During pre-drawing, the client needs to sit upright so you can assess the natural shape and symmetry of the face. Before pigmentation, you can lower the backrest slightly and readjust the height of the chair and the lighting.

This setup is suitable for powder brows, ombré brows, microblading, hairstrokes, permanent eyeliner, lash enhancement, lip blush and correction treatments.

What does a PMU treatment chair need?

During a PMU treatment, you measure the face, draw the desired shape and apply the pigment with precision. A suitable permanent makeup chair should bring the client into your ideal working position, so you do not have to keep leaning or reaching forward.

Essential for PMU:

  • electric height adjustment for your preferred working height;
  • an electrically adjustable backrest that can be positioned fully upright and reclined;
  • a stable construction that does not move during pigmentation;
  • sufficient space beneath the head end for your knees;
  • dark upholstery and suitable professional lighting.

Useful additional features:

Dark upholstery, protection and professional lighting

Permanent makeup pigments are highly concentrated. Pigment marks can therefore become visible quickly on light-coloured upholstery. For a permanent makeup studio, we recommend black or dark upholstery combined with a well-fitting dark chair cover.

Professional lighting is equally important when measuring, pre-drawing, selecting pigment colours and assessing the result. The Moonlight Lamp provides even illumination around the face and helps reduce distracting shadows around the eyebrows, eyes and lips.

Which treatment chair is suitable for permanent makeup?

A suitable PMU treatment chair is electrically height-adjustable, stable and has a backrest that can be positioned both fully upright and reclined. The upright position is important for measuring, pre-drawing and checking symmetry. During pigmentation, you can recline the client slightly and adjust the chair to your ideal working height.

Sufficient space beneath the head end is also important, allowing you to sit close to the client with enough room for your knees. We often see PMU professionals choose the Silk Evo S4 or models from the Velvet Evo range.

Can my order be delivered and installed?

Yes. Bellezi offers different delivery options depending on your location and requirements.

Many international customers choose our Silver Service. Your order is delivered on an agreed date by a specialised pallet transport partner. The delivery is made to the entrance of your building or ground-floor delivery point. As treatment chairs and wellness beds are heavy products, we recommend having at least two people available to move the product indoors and position it at the desired location.

For customers who prefer a complete delivery and installation service, Bellezi also offers Gold Service delivery. Our technicians will deliver, position and install the product at the desired location and provide a personal introduction to its use and maintenance.
