Based in Harbrinkhoek in the Netherlands, Basic Cosmetics has been active in the beauty industry for over 25 years. As a wholesale supplier and training provider, the company supports skincare professionals with professional skincare products, salon supplies and practical training. Through its brands Extenso Skincare and Glure Pro Wax Therapy, Basic Cosmetics supports both day-to-day salon work and ongoing professional development.

From product knowledge to hands-on experience

Basic Cosmetics offers more than skincare products. The company gives skincare professionals the opportunity to learn new treatment methods and refine their existing skills, combining technical knowledge with practical experience.

To provide a comfortable setting for hands-on training, Basic Cosmetics chose five Velvet Evo W4 wellness beds from Bellezi. Finished in Continental Birch, a light shade that complements the calm interior of the training room, the beds help create an environment where participants can focus on learning and practising treatments.

Care for both skin and practitioner

Extenso’s training courses cover various aspects of professional skincare, from advanced skin treatments and chemical peels to massage techniques such as facial cupping. Participants develop their understanding of how products work and learn to apply treatment techniques correctly.

Theory is then put into practice. Under guidance, participants work on models and gain experience with a range of treatments. This hands-on approach helps them apply their new knowledge with confidence in their own salons.

A Bellezi bed that adapts to every treatment

Different treatments call for different working positions. Facial treatments require close access to the face, while massage techniques need enough room for the practitioner to move freely.

The Velvet Evo W4 provides this flexibility. Electric adjustments allow participants to adapt the height and reclining position to suit the treatment, supporting a comfortable working posture while keeping the treatment area within easy reach.

Comfort also matters for the person receiving the treatment. The Cloud 9 Super Soft Mattress™ provides a soft, supportive surface. The tilt function helps relieve pressure on the lower back, while integrated heating adds warmth and comfort. These features are particularly valuable during longer practical sessions.

Designed for learning and development

Training rooms see intensive use. With several participants sharing the same treatment beds, keeping the workspace clean and hygienic is essential. The Continental upholstery can be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol or disinfectant alcohol, making it suitable for daily use.
