Innovation in healthcare comfort: Custom Solution for Stichting Dichterbij

In care, everything revolves around attention. Attention to comfort, safety, and above all, to the person behind the care need. With this in mind, Bellezi worked closely with Stichting Dichterbij to develop a tailored solution that supports the wellbeing of clients at the Sterrenhof location in Velp, the Netherlands. 

Greater comfort through targeted relaxation

In care, everything revolves around attention. Attention to comfort, safety, and above all, to the person behind the care need. With this in mind, Bellezi worked closely with Stichting Dichterbij to develop a tailored solution that supports the wellbeing of clients at the Sterrenhof location.

Safety without restriction

This search led Dichterbij to Bellezi. At Bellezi, we develop and produce wellness beds that are fully customized, tested, and optimized for real-world care environments.

The central goal in this project was clear: to make relaxation an integral part of daily care rather than an optional extra. Massage therapy helps reduce muscle tension and directly contributes to both physical comfort and mental wellbeing. A stable and comfortable support surface is essential in this process.

Safety was also a key priority. For clients with profound and multiple disabilities (PMD), fall prevention is crucial. At the same time, the solution needed to avoid feeling restrictive or clinical.

Support and ease of use

The result is a fully customized solution. On both sides of the Velvet Evo wellness bed, features integrated side supports on both sides. When raised, these supports provide additional safety and help prevent clients from rolling off the bed during treatment. When lowered, they create a low and accessible entry point, allowing clients to be assisted on and off the bed in a safe and comfortable way.

The result is a bespoke wellness bed where comfort, safety, and ease of use come together seamlessly. A practical solution for daily care that contributes to a calm and relaxing environment.

It represents a step toward care that goes beyond support alone. Care that feels personal. And that is where the real difference is made.
