Innovation in healthcare comfort: Custom Solution for Stichting Dichterbij

In healthcare, everything revolves around attention. Attention to comfort, safety, and above all, to the person behind the care need. With that belief at its core, Bellezi partnered with Stichting Dichterbij to develop a unique solution that visibly improves the wellbeing of residents.

Greater comfort through targeted relaxation

Many residents in long-term care experience physical tension and stiffness in the body. This can lead to restlessness, discomfort, and a reduced quality of life. This challenge led Stichting Dichterbij to ask an important question: how can relaxation become a structural part of daily care?

Safety without restriction

This search brought them to Bellezi. At Bellezi, wellness beds are developed and produced with a strong focus on real-world use. Each solution is continuously refined, tested, and optimized for daily care environments.

In this project, one goal was central: making relaxation a fixed part of care rather than an optional extra. Massages help reduce muscle tension, directly improving both physical comfort and mental wellbeing. A stable and comfortable lying surface plays a key role in this.

Alongside comfort, safety was equally important. For residents with limited control over their movements, the risk of falling is always present. At the same time, the organization wanted to avoid solutions that feel restrictive or clinical.

Support and ease of use

The result is a fully customized solution. On both sides of the Velvet Evo wellness bed, integrated supports can be raised to prevent residents from falling. When lowered, they create a low and accessible entry, allowing residents to get on and off the bed safely and independently.

The outcome is a tailored wellness bed where comfort, safety, and ease of use come together seamlessly. A solution that is not only functional, but also practical in daily care, contributing to a calm and pleasant environment.

It is a step toward care that goes beyond support. Care that feels like genuine attention. And that is where the real difference is made.
